Secret wedding?
It is known that the war between Montagues and Capulets has been more active than ever. Despite all the recent acts of violence, rumors state that a wedding between Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet took place at Friar Lawrence's cell. Bystanders reported hearing the friar from beyond the walls of his cell. "So smile the heavens upon this holy act That after-hours with sorrow chide us not," as quoted by a trusted source. Other bystanders claimed to have seen Romeo and Juliet inside enter the building at the same time. When questioned, all three persons denied their participation with the activity.
Upon further investigation, evidence suggesting the wedding actually did take place arose. An anonymous source sighted a nurse of the Capulet house conversing with Romeo the day of the wedding. What they discussed remains unknown, but our source did report seeing Romeo giving the nurse a bag of coins, possibly as a bribe. Whether or not the wedding did indeed take place, the evidence certainly points in that direction.
