Violence once more!
Just when there seemed to be a chance of peace, violence strikes again. It is as if the streets of Verona are battlegrounds for the Capulets and Montagues. On this fateful day, Tybalt of the Capulet house traveled with his friends only to encounter Romeo, Mercutio, and Benvolio of the Montague house. Tybalt and Mercutio exchanged verbal blows, then proceeded to draw their swords for a duel. Onlookers quoted Tybalt to have been saying, "Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries That thou hast done me. Therefore turn and draw." The duel ended with Mercutio's death at Tybalt's hand.
As if one death was not enough, Romeo chased after Tybalt, seeking to avenge his fallen friend. The two drew swords, and after an exciting fight, Romeo murdered Tybalt in an instant. Due to the nature of these events, a more detailed article shall be provided.
